Akismet is sending SPAM!

    Akismet is an anti-spam-filter, but paradoxically Akismet is sending the users spam in accosiation with Black Friday and Black Monday Sale. 50% off. I got three (3) e-mails. Are those e-mails from Akismet or are they not? If yes, is there any place in WordPress control panel to turn this off? Thank you

    Hey @aegirr, yes those emails are from Akismet to let you know about the biggest discount of the year. If you donโ€™t want to receive those emails, there is an unsubscribe button in the bottom of the emails, you can unsubscribe from there easily.

    Hi @araskocaoglan โ€“ you should never advice people to click on links in e-mail incase of scams โ€“ the amount of scams has increased a great deal last years. I encourage you to let the users have the choice to unsubscribe via the WordPress Control Panel โ€“ it is a much safer way. Thank you

    Hey @aegirr, of course, you can also do that! On the updates tab in the notification settings (https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates) you can uncheck the Promotions box under Email from Jetpack.
