• I have the same problem as described here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/home-page-and-blog-title-display-problem/

Blog posts page archive doesn’t display the title, no matter which block I use:

    • Title
    • Archive title
    • Heading

I’ve already searched all over the internet and haven’t found a solution for a FSE website. The page containing the articles list just isn’t displaying a title that’s set for the pages using this template.

In the other topic, a moderator suggested this:

Hi @jeus84 – that should be possible. If you go and edit the ‘Blog Home’ template it looks like the ‘Post Title’ block is being used in that top title location.

You could remove that – and manually add a title that says ‘Blog’. Could you please give that a try and see how it goes?

I can’t use this method on a multi-lingual website – I need the title to be pulled from the page. And frankly I don’t find this to be an acceptable solution in any circumstance. Changing a page title should absolutely not require fiddling with the theme and templates.

Is there a way to force WordPress/TT4 to display the correct blog archive title that’s defined on a page level, not the template level?

The website is in development and hidden from users that aren’t logged in, so I can’t share a link. But it seems to be a rather known issue for many years.
