The BOOST Community Group brings together stakeholders from across the biomass value chain to develop interoperable data formats and protocols for tracking biomass materials from source to end-use. Our mission is to improve transparency, verification, and trust in biomass supply chains through standardized digital systems.
Purpose and Scope
This Community Group aims to:
- Define common data models, vocabularies, and exchange formats for biomass chain of custody information
- Improve interoperability between existing traceability systems
- Create specifications supporting sustainable biomass verification across international supply chains
- Enable digital integration between forestry, agriculture, processing, and energy production systems
Who Should Participate
We welcome participation from:
- Forestry and agricultural organizations
- Bioenergy and biomaterial producers
- Sustainability certification bodies
- Supply chain technology providers
- Policymakers and regulators
- Academic and research institutions
Join us in shaping open technologies that enhance transparency, reduce administrative burden, and support verified sustainability claims throughout the biomass supply chain.
